By supplying best-in-class technologies alongside an unrivalled level of service, the Carfulan Group equips businesses to excel in a world of constantly evolving innovations, where parts are becomingly increasingly complex to make and accuracy is paramount.

The three P’s

On the walls of our state-of-the-art facility near Derby, inscribed in bold black lettering, are the words Precision, Performance, Perfected.

Since the company’s inception, the ‘three Ps’ have been our driving force. They are ingrained into our culture, the lifeblood of our people, and set at the very heart of the many special things we have accomplished both with and for our customers.

In living by our values, we provide clients old and new with the very best opportunity to flourish under the demands of Industry 4.0.

Thanks to a combination of world-leading machinery, intuitive software, unmatched engineering knowledge and a desire to achieve perfection, it’s not a question of if our technologies can improve the way manufacturers work – it’s a question of by how much.

“Professional but relaxed”

We are always looking to identify new talent to join our team – and we strive to provide rewarding careers to those that do.

The pair spent two years learning on the job and, after completing a range of assessments in subjects as diverse as mechanical engineering, mathematics and electronics, they were recognised with an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacture (Engineering Technical Support).

Cameron said: “It’s been great to get work experience while doing my qualifications at the same time. Coming into such a fast-paced business means you go from zero to 100mph in terms of your engineering knowledge.

“You have to know a wide range of products and there’s so much to take in, which has been one of the biggest challenges, but it’s nice as you’re not put under any pressure – there’s a freedom to make mistakes.

“I’m very lucky to work with a very supportive team who always want to help you and pass on knowledge. The fact I learn something new every day is very challenging and rewarding at the same time.”

Ed said: “It’s a professional but relaxed working environment at the Carfulan Group, with everyone happy to talk to you and give you their time.

“The people I work with and the variety of everyday work are what I enjoy most. Being able to visit all sorts of different areas within the tooling/manufacturing industry is very interesting, and the support offered by the other engineers makes it easy to take on any challenge.”
