The Carfulan Group is inviting manufacturers of all shapes and sizes to discover world-leading technology that will help take them into Industry 4.0 and beyond.

The Derbyshire-based group has announced a stunning product line-up for MACH 2018 next month, where its four companies will unveil ground-breaking solutions covering multi-sensor inspection equipment, 3D printing, offline tool pre-setting and inspection and turned-part measurement, all designed to help businesses make better products more efficiently.

And its engineers have laid down the following challenge to visitors to stand H19-410: ‘Bring along your most complex parts and components and we’ll prove how easy it is to measure them with precision accuracy using our best-in-class machines.’

OGP UK will be performing demonstrations on its flagship Vantage 450 SmartScope, a multi-sensor, non-contact quality control system that guarantees superior optical performance alongside the highest standards of accuracy, repeatability and speed, even when measuring intricate features.

Enabling maximum throughput and backed up by intuitive ZONE3 software, the Vantage range is renowned globally for making reliable data collection available in real time, giving manufacturers complete control over their production processes and helping to reduce scrap.

Alongside its best-in-class tool pre-setting and inspection devices, ZOLLER UK’s new Smart Cabinets range will go on public display in the UK for the very first time at MACH.

This diverse range of manual and automated solutions record, manage and store tools, perishables, accessories, fixtures and test devices ergonomically and intuitively, meaning no more manual searching, no more incorrect storage and no more down time due to missing items.

For VICIVISION UK, a supplier of high-performance optical and non-contact measuring machines for turned parts, the exhibition will act as the launch platform for its impressive Techno series and new Metrios 2D measurement system.

Using touch-screen technology, the Metrios takes digital optical measurement to a new level by performing accurate and objective part-quality tests directly in the production room, increasing productivity and reducing costs.

The star of the show for SYS Systems, the UK platinum partner for Stratasys, will be the Fortus 450, which 3D prints jigs, fixtures, factory tooling, end-use parts and functional prototypes faster than ever before.

The machine uses a vast range of engineering-grade and high-performance thermoplastics such as carbon-filled Nylon 12, an ultra-tough material primarily used in aerospace, automotive and consumer goods industries.

Chris Fulton, Managing Director of the Carfulan Group, whose headquarters is in Foston, said: “We’ve pulled out all the stops this year to make sure that customers old and new will get exactly what they need when they visit our stand – the chance to not only see our products in action, but to also speak to our experts about their individual challenges and to find solutions.

“We always strive to push the boundaries of innovation and can’t wait to discuss how we might be able to help visitors build further on the hugely impressive work they’re already doing.”

To be held at Birmingham’s NEC from April 9 to 13, MACH is a biennial event focused specifically on engineering-based manufacturing, bringing together the best innovations and latest developments under one roof.

Two years ago the show, organised by the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), attracted more than 25,000 visitors, with a staggering £150 million of business attributed directly to it.

The 2018 event promises to be even bigger and better with new zones, innovative technologies and a vibrant seminar program all on the agenda.
