Carfulan Group has recognised an opportunity to reduce the company’s carbon footprint through investment in electric vehicles.

The company has begun transitioning its fleet, having taken ownership of four Tesla electric vehicles, which arrived at the Innovation Centre in Foston, Derbyshire.

The company is proud to announce that a further 21 fully-electric vehicles will be delivered over the coming months to enable the group to transition to a totally green-energy fleet.

Chris Fulton, Managing Director, said: “We are excited to take this next step to becoming a greener business by introducing these electric vehicles into our fleet to try and reduce our environmental impact.

“Reducing our impact on the environment is of the utmost importance to us and something we strive to improve daily. We are aware of our environmental responsibilities as a business and this investment in low-emission vehicles demonstrates our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint to all our clients and partners.”

Tesla vehicles can emit up to 65 per cent less lifetime emissions than petrol or diesel cars, and the switch to electric vehicles follows the UK government strategy to phase out petrol and diesel vehicles within the next 20 years.

Carfulan Group is fully supportive of this initiative and aims to continue minimising the business’s environmental impact wherever possible.
