The Carfulan Group’s inaugural Manufacturing Performance Network has proved a real pre-Christmas cracker by attracting more than 140 visitors from all around the UK.

Engineers, researchers, academics and industry experts flocked to the company’s headquarters near Derby to enjoy product launches, software advancements and live demonstrations across three days packed full of unique industry insights.

Among the biggest draws was an XJet Carmel 1400 system, which employs ground-breaking NanoParticle Jetting™ (NPJ) technology to 3D-print geometrically complex ceramic and metal components quickly, safely and with unmatched quality.

It was the first time the machine had been on display in the UK, after XJ3D – the Carfulan Group’s newest company – became the first appointed worldwide partner of Israel-based XJet.

XJet Chief Business Officer Dror Danai, and VP Manufacturing and Defence Markets Haim Levi, gave presentations to packed-out rooms of people keen to hear more about what is being described as ‘a new era of additive manufacturing.’

Several machine deals were secured by the Carfulan Group’s companies during the three days, with Tamworth-base Brown & Holmes purchasing two Stratasys 3D printers from SYS Systems and Ilkeston-based HPC Services Ltd shaking on an M306 supplied by VICIVISION UK.

Carfulan Group Managing Director Chris Fulton said: “We had around 25 live machine and technology demonstrations happening at MPN and our high-class range of complementary manufacturing performance solutions spoke for themselves.

“It’s the first time we’ve been able to show all of our technologies at the same time under one roof and we were absolutely delighted with the response.

“The XJet machine was a real star of the show and generated an incredible amount of interest, so we’re very excited about what the future holds in that regard.

“MPN served to underline the fact that the UK manufacturing industry is thriving and our businesses are helping to lead the way.

“It was a fantastic way to end what’s been a highly successful 2018.”

Across OGP UK, SYS Systems, ZOLLER UK, VICIVISION UK and XJ3D, the Carfulan Group specialises in multi-sensor metrology, turned-part measurement, additive manufacturing and tool pre-setting and inspection, empowering its customers to improve their business processes and achieve end-product excellence.

Earlier this year it was named in the London Stock Exchange’s ‘1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report 2018, a publication that celebrates the nation’s most outstanding small to medium-sized businesses.

To make the cut, companies are required to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.
