Carfulan Group Reflects on a Record-Breaking MACH 2026

Carfulan Group has concluded its most successful MACH exhibition in more than two decades, leaving the NEC Birmingham with a record number of enquiries, three UK technology debuts, two MACH firsts, and five days of high-level engagement with manufacturers from across the supply chain.

Built Around What Manufacturers Actually Need

Stand 20-320 was constructed around a clear principle: every technology on display had to address a challenge facing manufacturers today.

Whether that challenge is measurement speed and flexibility, tool control and consistency, large-scale component inspection, or unlocking new capabilities in additive manufacturing, Carfulan Group’s portfolio was selected to provide direct, proven answers. Across the five days, a 30-strong team of specialists engaged with hundreds of visitors who attended not to browse, but to make informed decisions about the future of their operations. The resulting volume of enquiries set a new benchmark for the Group at MACH.

Five Divisions, Multiple Firsts

Carfulan Group’s five divisions each made a substantial contribution to Stand 20-320, with several technologies appearing in the UK for the first time.

OGP UK’s M-Series took centre stage, with the flagship M50 system making its UK debut. Powered by the Intellicentric-M optical system, the M50 integrates optical, laser and touch probe measurement within a single platform, enabling high accuracy across complex, multi-feature components and significantly reducing setup time on the shop floor. Alongside it, METRIOS UK introduced the Metrios 332 to UK audiences for the first time; a system engineered for large-scale component measurement that maintains speed without compromising accuracy, drawing strong interest from visitors operating in aerospace, automotive, energy and heavy engineering.

ZOLLER UK brought two systems to MACH for the first time in the form of the ToolBalancer, a precision balancing system that extends tool life and protects machine spindles, and the ToolStation, a dedicated tool assembly station designed for fast, accurate and repeatable presetting workflows. Both systems speak to a wider truth that the Group has long championed: effective tool management is one of the most impactful and consistently underutilised levers available to manufacturers. SYS Systems reinforced the pace of progress in additive manufacturing, demonstrating the Origin Two with sample parts produced in Silicone 25A material, a development that opens up flexible, durable end-use part production that was not previously achievable through additive methods. Finally, VICIVISION UK presented the 918 Techno System in a configuration making its UK debut, combining a conical laser and scanning probe in a single inspection solution. That pairing delivers both the throughput of laser scanning and the precision of probe-based inspection, a combination of particular significance to high-volume turned part manufacturers.

Shaping the Future of Manufacturing

The volume of enquiries generated across the week reflects more than strong footfall. It reflects the strength of Carfulan Group’s position as the only partner in the UK able to address such a broad range of advanced manufacturing challenges from a single, joined-up offering.

Managing Director Chris Fulton commented: “There’s an increase in interest from all parts of the supply chain and from several new adopters. This is really exciting, as our technical experts can get under the skin of the business in a bid to deliver lots of added value, cost savings and efficiencies.”

The theme that emerged consistently from conversations across the week was one Carfulan Group is well placed to address. As Fulton noted: “Clients continually talk about the frustration of going to different suppliers for what they need and the lack of a joined-up approach. We can negate all of this by offering all types of solutions, from the latest 3D printing and metrology to tool presetting and quality analysis, in one place.” MACH 2026 demonstrated that proposition at scale.
